Buy & download books from Google Play

Explore available books on Google Play Books and purchase books to read on your electronic device.

Browse for & buy books

1. Make sure you’re connected to the internet.
2. Open the Google Play Books app .
3. To find books to read, choose an action.
   • To see what you were most recently reading, tap Home .
   • To see articles and videos about books, tap Discover .
   • To browse for books to buy, tap Shop .
   • To see all your books, tap Library .
   • To search for a specific book, use the bar at the top.
4. To see more info about a book, tap the cover.
5. To download a book, tap Free sample or Buy.

Once you download a book, you can read it anywhere, even when you don't have an Internet connection.

Download using Wi-Fi only

To avoid data charges, you can download books using Wi-Fi only. To turn this feature on or off:

1. Open the Google Play Books app .
2. At the top left, tap Menu Settings Download over Wi-Fi only.
